Treatment Information
Patch Tests
Patch tests are required 24-hours in advance of eyelash and eyebrow tinting; please ask our Clinic team for more information. If six months have lapsed since your last treatment, please be aware that a further patch test will be required prior to your next appointment.
Cryotherapy
Please arrive 15 minutes before your appointment to allow sufficient time to get changed. A uniform is provided or alternatively you can bring your own swimwear. A locker is provided to safely store your belongings during your treatment. Please ensure you eat beforehand and drink plenty of water; it’s important that you are well nourished and hydrated to experience the full benefits.
The most common side effects of any type of cryotherapy are numbness, tingling, redness, and irritation of the skin. These side effects are almost always temporary. Make an appointment with your doctor if they don’t resolve within 24 hours. In extreme cases, people with skin sensitivity can cause integumentary damage (including frostbite).
Whole body cryotherapy should not exceed five minutes (typical treatment sessions are two to three minutes). Whole body cryotherapy causes decreased heart rate, increased blood pressure, and lowered respiration.
The patient should ensure that all clothing and skin are completely dry when stepping into a cryotherapy chamber. Also, metal or jewelry should be removed. Last, sensitive body parts should be covered with a face mask, ear muffs, gloves, and socks or slippers. Burning of the skin or frostbite can occur when a patient does not follow proper protocol when entering a cryotherapy chamber.
